Trident Studios
Bowie recorded Ziggy Stardust at Trident Studios in Soho. The neighborhood around it — Berwick Street, Wardour Street — was his creative playground. The vintage shops here still carry 70s glam pieces that channel his energy.
The Venues
The Marquee Club on Wardour Street (now a restaurant but the plaque remains) hosted his first Ziggy shows. The Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park was where he killed Ziggy in 1973, retiring the character mid-show.
The Fashion
Bowie shopped at Granny Takes a Trip on King's Road. The original store is gone but the block still has vintage boutiques carrying 70s glam — platform boots, lurex, and the kind of silk shirts he wore under tailored suits.
